Renting a flame machine in Mumbai
This is the one effect on the list that is genuinely fire. Everything else in the SFX catalogue is cold, chilled or compressed - the flame machine sends a real column of flame upward, and that difference decides everything about where it can go.
Which is exactly why it lands. An audience knows the difference between a spark and a flame instantly, and the heat carries to the front rows. For the single biggest beat of a performance - the drop, the reveal, the moment a headline act walks out - nothing else reads at that scale.
Best used for
- Concert and live performance drops
- Sangeet finales and high-energy choreographed sequences
- Corporate stage reveals with high ceilings
- Outdoor and open-air stages
- Baraat and procession finales
- Award show entrances
How many do you need?
Flame units are placed in symmetrical arrays across a stage front — four is a common configuration, six for a wide stage. A single unit rarely reads as intentional. Placement is dictated by clearance rather than aesthetics, so we plan the array around what the venue allows.
What to check with the venue ?
Ceiling height is not negotiable here. Flame machines need substantial vertical clearance and nothing combustible overhead - no drapes, no low rigging, no false ceiling. Most indoor ballrooms in Mumbai cannot take them, which is why this effect is usually specified for open-air stages and high-ceilinged convention spaces.
Confirm with the property early, before it goes into the run sheet. Venue approval for flame is a separate conversation from approval for cold pyro, and some properties that permit one prohibit the other. We supply technical and safety documentation; final clearance sits with the venue and, where required, local fire authority.
