Renting mist fans in Mumbai

An open lawn in Mumbai between March and June is not a problem an ordinary fan solves. Moving hot air around achieves very little; guests stay uncomfortable and makeup does not survive the ceremony.

A mist fan works differently. It atomises water into a fine spray carried on the airflow, and the evaporation genuinely drops the temperature around it - several degrees within its throw, without anyone getting wet. For open-air mandaps, lawn ceremonies and poolside functions, it is the only cooling that works where AC has nothing to cool.

How many do you need?

One unit covers a seating cluster of roughly 20–30 guests. For a 200-guest lawn ceremony, plan on six to eight positioned around the perimeter rather than clustered. Guest count and how spread out the seating is both matter - send us the layout and we will size it.

What to check with the venue ?

Mist fans need a water source or refillable tank access, plus a standard power point within reach. Ask whether the lawn has outdoor sockets; many do not, in which case add a portable generator. Also worth checking the humidity — mist fans work best in dry heat and less well in high humidity, which affects whether we recommend these or air coolers.

Outdoor functions almost always pair mist fans with air coolers for covered areas and a portable generator for lawn power. Indoor and enclosed spaces take portable AC instead.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will guests get wet?

No. The mist is fine enough to evaporate before it reaches
anyone at normal distance. We position units so the throw cools without landing
on people or furniture.

How much does it actually cool the area?

Several degrees within the fan's throw, depending on humidity. In dry heat
the drop is significant; in very humid conditions it is smaller, which is when
we would recommend coolers instead.

Does it need a water connection?

Each unit has its own tank. For long functions we arrange refills as part
of the booking, so nobody on your team has to manage it.

Can it be used indoors?

It's built for outdoor and semi-covered spaces. For enclosed rooms,
portable AC is the right answer.

What power does it need?

A standard socket. If the position has no power nearby, we can add a
portable generator to the booking.
