Renting a low fog machine in Mumbai

There are two kinds of fog, and booking the wrong one ruins the shot. Standard haze fills a room and hangs at head height — useful for lighting beams, disastrous for a first dance, because your photographer loses the couple in it.

Low fog is different. Dry ice chills the output so it sits at ankle height and stays there, giving the walk-on-air effect without obscuring anything above knee level. The couple stays sharp, the floor disappears, and the shot works.

Best used for

  • First dance, the single most-requested use
  • Varmala and jaimala, with fog over the walkway
  • Couple entry down an aisle or staircase
  • Stage reveals at corporate launches

How many do you need?

One machine covers a dance floor of roughly 20×20 feet. Larger floors, or a long processional walk, take two placed at opposite ends. Fog spreads outward and settles, so placement matters more than quantity - tell us the floor size and we will work it out.

What to check with the venue ?

Low fog needs a level floor to spread across; heavy carpet absorbs it and slopes drain it away. Air conditioning on full will disperse it faster, so ask whether the AC can be lowered for the two minutes it runs. Confirm the venue permits dry ice - most do, since it produces no odour and leaves no residue.

Booked alongside

Low fog and cold pyro are the standard first-dance pairing - fog at the floor, sparks at the sides. Add a flower shower machine for a processional entry.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the difference between low fog and a normal fog machine?

Normal fog rises and fills the room. Low fog is chilled with dry ice so it
stays at ankle height and holds there — the only option if the shot needs the
couple visible.

How long does the effect last?

Two to three minutes of usable coverage per fill, which covers a first
dance or an entry. Longer moments can be topped up between cues.

Will it trigger smoke alarms?

Dry ice fog is water vapour, not smoke, and it stays at floor level well
below ceiling detectors. We confirm with the venue in advance regardless.

Is it safe around guests?

Yes. It's chilled water vapour and disperses within minutes. Our crew
handles the dry ice throughout — clients never touch it.

Can it be used outdoors?

It works best indoors or under cover. Wind disperses it immediately, so an
open lawn will not hold the effect.
